René Hoviv (son vrai nom René Hovivian) est un dessinateur  humoristique et satirique de presse  français né en 1929 à Vienne (Isère) et décédé le 28 mai 2005 à Clamart (Haut de seine).

A 18 ans, il part s'installer en Arménie soviétique avec sa famille et ne reviendra en France qu'en 1964. Durant son séjour en URSS il sera déporté en Sibérie.
